Photoshopped or Real?
You are warned...if you cannot stand looking at trauma, DO NOT OPEN. This one is right up Ambulance Driver's expertise. Leave your thoughts in the comments.

i am with allee on this,, i do believe this is real.. it most assuredly could happen given the right set of extenuating circumstances... wow.. how do you live thru something like that??? no clue.
I've seen this pic several times. Being a nurse that worked trauma. I love this stuff. I know I'm sick. It is real ... something to do with a boat accident, I remember. And thankfully this guy did recover. Nothing short of a miracle.
Yes, it's real. It was a boating accident, as I recall. Supposedly the guy eventually recovered, albeit after a LOT of time and therapy.
Funny thing is, it was first sent to me by a male ER nurse a few years ago, who wanted to know..."Is it just me, or is the female nurse on this pic smokin' hot?"

Looks real enough to me. Look at the discoloration of the left leg, consistent with lack of blood flow to the extremity.
This is exactly why I don't work IN emergency departments, etc., but just transcribe their reports AFTER they've done their business!
