• To make every effort to ensure the entry into force of the Kyoto Protocol,
preferably by the tenth anniversary of the United Nations Conference on
Environment and Development in 2002, and to embark on the required
reduction in emissions of greenhouse gases.

(The United States (U.S.), although a signatory to the Kyoto Protocol, has neither ratified nor withdrawn from the Protocol. The signature alone is symbolic, as the Kyoto Protocol is non-binding on the United States unless ratified.)

Do you realize that the United States, as of 2006, carries 22% of the funding for the United Nations? And they want more monies to exercise these programs!

Thanks for compiling all of this information. I know it's fact, and I'm pretty scared. Among other things, I fear that our government is slowly weakening us to the point where we will be so dependent on other countries that we will be forced to surrender most if not all of our individual sovereignty.

@Guy I agree with you, but McCain is not any better. A change is needed, but it's up to us...the people...to let our Government know what we want.
